The region is proud to be the home of two World Heritage Sites – the spectacular Mogao Caves in the city of Dunhuang, situated on the edge of the Gobi Desert, and, of course, the Great Wall of China.

As you enter Dunhuang, you will pass through the magnificent Jade Gate entry to the city, walk a gallery of almost 500 Buddhist cave paintings, be enchanted by the ‘singing’ Mingsha Sand Dunes.
Your journey will take you to the earliest remains of the Great Wall of China, and, if you are feeling active, there is also the opportunity to ride a camel!
The excursion is fully inclusive for our students and includes the journey between Lanzhou and Dunhuang, accommodation in a hotel for two nights, meals in local restaurants, and entry and guided tours to all the sites listed.
